CHARACTER POSTERS
QINISO
Qiniso is a widowed carpenter who experiences guilt AFTER the death of his wife, SARAH. Instead of getting her medical treatment during her sickness, he went along with his wife and the congregation in following their prophet's teachings of ATONEMENT BY giving him financial offerings and praying in exchange for better health. Even though he had doubts, he didn’t raise them, he didn’t speak up and voice his skepticism when he should’ve.
PROPHET ADDAI
Prophet Addai is deceptive, rich, unrepentant, unremorseful and powerful. He is the head of a Prosperity Gospel church and leads his congregation. He brainwashes his congregation and often time, like Mary and Sarah, can get him to do his bidding. He counseled Sarah through her ailment and steered her away from medicine and closer to the church.
MARY
Mary is a devout Christian that strongly believes that prayer heals, in giving offerings to the church and believes in prophet Addai. She is judgmental, ingenuous, susceptible, and pretentious.
SARAH
Sarah is the wife of Qiniso. She is devout, optimistic, loyal, loving and quiet. She a Christian that strongly believes in atonement and in her prophet. She is unwell and refuses to take medication. She believes that Prophet Addai and prayer are her only answers to better health and she wants her husBaNd to support that. Her persistent faith in the prophet false preaching and her unquestioning flaw unfortunately lead to her death.
