THE FILM
Tucked away in a cabin, a guilt-ridden and non-confrontational carpenter must come to terms with the role that his wife’s faith played in her death.
This psychological thriller follows a widowered and guilt-stricken carpenter, Qiniso, as he struggles to build the coffin for the burial of his dead and devout wife, Sarah, in two days. Passive and non-confrontational, Qiniso has to come to terms with the role that their prophet's teachings of atonement played in the death of his wife and relinquish the misplaced guilt he feels.

THE MISSION
"The truth washes out the stain of misplaced guilt."
The fear and uncertainty of our times compels our people to turn to religious fanaticism as a common form of escapism. It is the powerlessness in the face of an incredibly hostile and rapidly changing world that devours one’s psyche. Promises of the Prosperity Gospel Movement sound highly convincing to the suffering and unemployed. The promise of power, premised on the desperation of congregants, creates an environment fertile for exploitation. Our film aims to make our viewers aware and vigilant of powerful religious leaders that infiltrate and leech on their communities in the name of faith.
